Mai kāpae i ke aʻo a ka makua, aia he ola malaila.

Do not set aside the teachings of oneʻs parents, for there is life there.

Moʻolelo

The organizing members of this collective began their journey with the honor of becoming haumana to Haku Lynette Paglinawan beginning in 2019. Over the years, she generously shared her ike kūhohonu and guided us with patience and care. In 2024, she encouraged us to take the next step: to carry forward what we had learned and put it into practice for the benefit of our community. With this kuleana, and with naʻau hoʻomaikaʻi for the time and naʻauao she invested in us, we came together to form this collective.

Our Manaʻo

To honor the kuleana given to us by our kumu by using the skills we were fortunate to receive in service of our community. Through our culture’s trusted practices, we work to strengthen individual ohana, and in doing so, strengthen our communities and the lahui.
